To celebrate Easter Monday I give you my lazy dog who accompanied me on a 4 mile run this afternoon. He’s getting a bit old now and he’s not quite as fit as he used to be….
He may look dead but I can assure you he isn’t.
Just for general wonderings…

Family lunch…

It is not that often that I find myself in Costa at the same time as a Chocolate Twist. Today was one of those rare days. A day full of sunshine. A day so magnificent that you could expect God himself to appear in Peterborough High Street and make his way there.
I entered Costa for one reason, and one reason only: a takeout coffee. Then I saw it.
The beautiful pastry, the succulent chocolate, the unusual yellow stuff that you’d think would be absolutely disgusting but is actually really nice. The mother of all pastries. A snowy dove trooping with crows. Like a mermaid at low tide draped over a rock. The fairy dust covered piece of gold, it held magic, it held adventure.
I had to have it.
So I bought it…
Nice.
This is how it went today:
1. Woke up, made a cup of tea and went back to bed to read for half hour.
2. Spent the morning listening to a bit of vinyl.
3. Walked into town for a coffee at Costa, plus of course the legendary Sausage and Caramelised Onion Toastie – also took a bit of work with.
4. It was a lovely afternoon – sun and blue sky – so went for a 5 mile jog. Cue photo of the day, the Lincolnshire countryside….
5. Mopped the kitchen floor – not the simplest of jobs – mop head kept falling off. Must buy a new mop.
6. Trip to Tesco for some yummy stuff for dinner. Gourmet burgers! Also bought new mop.
7. Game of Thrones.
The other day we watched the finale of season 5 of The Walking Dead and felt totally underwhelmed with it.
This drove us to try again with Game of Thrones.
Started watching it about a year ago – watched the first 4 episodes – we enjoyed it but for some reason we never really found the time to carry on.
This holiday we plan to put that right….
