Janathon Day 31

Janathon. Done.

31 days. 31 runs.

Tonight’s run was a couple of loops of the village: 6.1 miles.

Started in the light and by the time I finished I was following that little circle of light to get home.

Overall, this year’s Janathon has been a very pleasant experience. I didn’t really get any days where I was dreading going out for a run. Even the legs didn’t really get too tired. Partly because I did a lot of shorter 3 mile runs.

123.6 miles in total.

Here they are:

The shortest = 3.0 miles

The longest = 7.3 miles

The average = 3.98 miles

Tomorrow is a rest day.

Janathon Day 28

Sunday morning run. Out the door at 7.30am.

It was a lovely bright morning.

A lovely relaxed gentle run: 7.3 miles.

Four weeks done. Three days left.

I was accompanied on this morning’s run by Scouting for Girls and their 2007 debut album ‘Scouting for Girls’. An absolute pop banger. Lyric writing at its best.

It ain’t gonna happen,

For me and the Strachan.

In other news…

We went to see The Holdovers last night.

Really enjoyed. Well worth watching.

Janathon Day 27

Parkrun day.

Gorleston Cliffs parkrun. It was a bright and fresh morning. Perfect morning for a blast.

I wanted to have a go at a fast time. The plan was to try not to go off too fast, I have a tendency to do that and end up just running out of energy. So wanted to keep the first mile at 7min/mile pace and then slowly pick it up.

Pretty happy with mile splits. Actual finish time was 21.34 – probably had a little bit more left at the end.
