‘The Beresford’ by Will Carver
The first book of the year is one of my Christmas presents. I love Will Carver.
This book is great: you should definitely give it a read.
You’re not going to get any spoilers here. All I would say is that it is horrific, funny, intense, brilliant and everything in between.

I read that last year. It was very different from the normal cosy mysteries I read. Different to most other novels, I’d say. It got a resounding thumbs up from me too.
