Janathon Day 31

The final day of Janathon…

The three of us hit the village streets.

At the beginning the dog was reluctant to join in the Janathon fun. Had to pull him the first half mile and even when he was off the lead he wasn’t that motivated.

But we did eventually complete a slow 2+ miles.

To conclude…

Following our cinema visit at the beginning of the month, the second outing of the year was the theatre. Norwich Theatre Royal to see 2.22 – A Ghost Story.

Didn’t know anything about the show except, it was a ghost story and it had been in the West End. So I was expecting it to be quite good.

It wasn’t.

Janathon Day 30

The penultimate day of this ridiculous ‘do an activity every day’ thing!

It’s been a very long week so it had to be something simple and not particularly strenuous. Especially because we’re at the theatre tonight!

So my weights session turned into a very easy 2 miles on the treadmill. That way I didn’t have to count, remember or focus on anything but running.

In other news…

Despite it being a rather damp and miserable day, Kerry managed to get out on the bike.

Book 2 of 2026 📚

‘The Life Impossible’ by Matt Haig

Matt Haig is one of my favourite authors. So it was lovely to get stuck into this fantastical novel.

Retired maths teacher Grace Winters is left a run-down house on a Mediterranean island by a long-lost friend, who mysteriously disappeared. Grace searches for answers about her friend’s life, and how it ended. What she uncovers is stranger than she could have dreamed.

Really liked it. A book of two halves which works really well.
