The third outing of the year was to London to see a show.

Fortune Theatre and ‘Operation Mincemeat’.

Operation Mincemeat was a World War Two mission to fool the Germans into thinking we were heading to Sardinia, when in fact the troops were heading to Sicily. It had a key role to play in the victory over Hitler. I’d never heard of it, but apparently it’s now taught in schools.

As for the show itself. Enjoyed it. Only five actors playing all the roles. Good songs. Funny. A tad camp at points. Well worth a watch.
