The mother of one of my year 7 students sent me this graphic novel. Apparently she’s in publishing and it came out today.

Such a lovely thought.

One week in already and it was the first after school swim of the year.

We’re very lucky to have our own swimming pool at school, so every Wednesday I have the opportunity to try to improve my swimming.

I really struggle swimming, there is so much to think about: hand positions, kicking, gliding, pull, hand entry, and this is all whilst trying to breath.

30 mins. Done.

In other news…

Kerry was on the treadmill.

I had a full day teaching, followed by some planning for tomorrow, a bit of photocopying and a 30min swim in the school pool. Lovely jubbly.

I had a Samaritans duty tonight so it means getting a run always feels a bit rushed.

Managed it.

We’ve had a fair bit of snow recently, so laps of the field, despite it feeling hard work, was definitely safer than a dark run on the roads.

Kerry completed another home workout…

I have a year 10 tutor group, and over the 3 or so years we have been together we have been collecting fridge magnets of places we have been. We’ve got loads and they are all on the big heater at the front of the classroom.

We had a disaster overnight.

First day back after the holidays. Training Day after a couple of days of snow.

Kids back tomorrow. I’m thinking it might be a lively start to the new term…
