#juneathon Day 13

Today felt a lot better than yesterday; 3.5 miles at the woods with the dog. I even managed to run up a few hills tonight.

The plan tomorrow is to up the pace a bit. I saw on Strava that they are encouraging people to do a fast one mile. Quite fancy getting involved with that, so I’m going to spend the next week or so picking up the pace to have a go at a fast mile. I’m not entirely sure how fast I can run a mile, I’m think a sub 6 min should be on the cards.

Total Juneathon mileage = 61.9

#juneathon Day 12

(Posted a day late – no excuse – just forgot)

Today’s run was the slowest most uncomfortable run of the month. After Saturday’s exersions at Runstock today was all about checking that the legs still work.

They do, but only just.

2.8 miles at the woods with the dog: walking up hills and relaxing on benches.

Total Juneathon mileage = 58.4

#juneathon Day 11

If the soul is in a state of mortal sin it is incapable of repenting unless God gives to the soul an actual grace to do so, and even then the soul must cooperate with the grace God has freely given to it out of His Divine Mercy.

I think you know what’s coming, I have a confession to make:

Forgive me for a have sinned: I did not run today. I have no excuse except for the fact that I ran a bloody long way yesterday.

Total Juneathon mileage = 55.6

#juneathon Day 10 – #runstock2017

Today we attended another fantastic Rat Race event: Runstock.

8 hours to do as many 5km laps as you can. Laps included various obstacles: slippery zone, water zone, assault zone, stunt zone and fairground zone.

It was hot. It was hilly. It was grassy.

The heat sapped your energy. The hills sapped your energy. The grass underfoot sapped your energy. Although, we did good. Great event.

Helen: 5 laps, 25km.

Me: 8 laps, 40km.

Total Juneathon mileage: 55.6
