Normally Thursday is a ‘going out’ night. Normally. But tonight is 5th November: Bonfire night. 

Billy, my big brave dog, doesn’t like fireworks or bangs. He physically shakes, squirms around the house and is generally very annoying. 

Therefore rather than going out and relaxing I was left to babysit the dog…

Teachmeet at Hampton College. Although I’ll be first to admit that we look slightly too excited about the whole thing. 

Start of Term 2. Long day of teaching, data and e-mails. So many e-mails. It was late before I left for home.

Pathetic fallacy anyone? 

It’s been a busy last day of halfterm. Today’s run was done at the woods in the dark: 4 miles. 

Today was all about finishing a bit of marking ready for the new term on Monday. 

My fabulous Y11s have been doing some iconoclastic writing. They produced some pretty controversial pieces: white bias, immigration, euthanasia, religion and the sexualisation of women, just to mention a few. 

They’ll have plenty to ponder on Monday…
