Janathon Day 15

It’s Wednesday, which means laps of the school field.

Only managed 6 laps tonight. It’s been a couple of long days and I wasn’t really feeling it.

Gentle run. 3.22 miles.

I don’t think Strava’s Athlete Intelligence was particularly happy with my pace:

Consistent pace around 9.45/mi, slightly slower than recent runs.

Totals:

Runs = 14

Mileage = 54.04

Swims 1 (600m)

Janathon Day 14

It was a very busy day today.

After a day of teaching I had a revision session at the end of the day. This was followed by the cooking of a lovely curry, which was followed by the actual run whilst it simmered gently.

Which was followed by the eating of said lovely curry. It was indeed lovely.

4.33 miles.

Solid nighttime run with a headtorch, beating recent pace and hitting your highest heart rate in a week while maintaining consistent effort.

Totals:

Runs = 13

Mileage = 50.82

Swims = 1 (600m)

Janathon Day 12

It was an early start…and a beautiful morning…

Planned to do a little bit further than what has been my daily 3 or 4 miles. Therefore, I ran for 5km, turned round and ran back. 6.32 miles in total.

Although it was cold, it felt really good to be out and running. It was a little slippery underfoot in places, but made it back in one piece, and feeling better than I left. Result.

Totals:

Runs = 11

Mileage = 43.29

Swims = 1 (600m)

Book 1 of 2025 📚

‘Why Running Matters’ by Ian Mortimer

First book of the year. It’s a running book. I love a running book.

This book was ok. It follows a fella in his year of running. Quite a lot of, I did a parkrun with my son, I beat him, I beat him, he nearly beat me, he nearly beat me, I only just beat him….he beat me.

A fairly interesting read all the same.
