No parkrun this morning.
Instead, I was out the door at 9.15am, ran for 2.5 miles, turned around and ran back: 5 miles.

It was a lovely bright, fresh morning.

The rest of the morning was spent unloading and stacking wood.

Just for general wonderings…
My general wonderings…

It was cold, dark and drizzly when I got in from work, so it was time for the first run on the treadmill this month.

Now I had to move quite a bit of stuff to actually get to it. The garage needs a sort out. it’s on my list!
3 miles.
Probably the first day of the month when an actual plan was required.
A full day at work followed by an evening shift at the Samaritans meant it was a ‘run round the field at school’ kinda day.

I don’t mind doing this occasionally, it gets the run done pretty early, and before it gets dark. Also, kids have been doing cross-country in PE lessons so there was a ‘course’ marked out. When I say ‘cross-country’ it doesn’t mean through woods, over streams, across fields or up and hills. It’s just a lap of the field.

7 laps of cross-country course = 3.2 miles in total.
I’ve done enough of these ‘run every day’ challenges to understand that you get to important points through your challenge; day 10 is one of these important points.
A third of the challenge is done, it means the runs are becoming a bit of a habit rather than a chore. Don’t get more wrong, it still takes a bit of motivation to get out after a busy day at work. Especially when it is cold and dark.
So today’s run was a 4.25 mile loop of the village.

I always try to take the odd picture on a run, just to brighten up the blog post…

10 days: 39 miles.
It was a cold dark run on the roads when I got in from work. It was probably one of those nights when I would have gone on the treadmill if it wasn’t under a pile of stuff in the garage. Note to self: sort garage out.
So it was a case of gathering up all the detritus that you need on a cold dark night.

It was a 3 mile loop of the village, which included a firework display.

If it was someone celebrating my completion of Janathon then it was a bit early – hopeful they’ve got some more they can use in 22 days time.
9 days down. We go again tomorrow.
The start of a new week and I did well to get out for the run tonight. It was freezing, windy and dark.
Did a 30min loop of the village: 3.2 miles.

Still on the Janathon train! Tomorrow we go again.
