Tonight’s picture was taken whilst on a run after work at Rutland Water. I remembered my headtorch tonight so was able to stay a bit later and do a few more miles.

A thoroughly enjoyable run, which was exactly what was needed after yet another ridiculous day at work.

I had a choice for today’s picture. It could have been a photo of this morning’s experiences of attending Parkrun as a spectator, or a photo of a lovely evening at the sister-in-law’s. It was neither.

I forgot.

So you get the book I am currently reading.

After a couple of days feeling a bit rough – like every other person in South Lincolnshire – another evening relaxing on the sofa was required.

After a hunt round on Netflix I discovered season 2 of ‘True Detective’ – now I don’t imagine it will be as good as season 1 – but thought I’d give it ago.

Day 15 RED January

24min home yoga session via the ‘daily yoga’ app.

My first experience of a bit of yoga. I found it quite hard work. It’s very difficult trying to stay relaxed when she is telling you to: engage your thighs, keep your back straight, push into your heals, pull in your abs, retain your balance, and other equally impossible things.

Having said all that, I can see why yoga is popular. I think once you know the poses and can do them correctly, then you can focus more on breathing and relaxing, and it probably becomes more enjoyable. I like the whole calmness of it.

I’m not about to become a yoga guru, but I think I can manage at least one yoga session a week.
