Endure 24.
30 miles.
(Blog to follow in next couple of days)
Just for general wonderings…
No exercise today. Instead a horrendous journey to Reading for Endure 24, which included being stuck in a traffic jam for 2hrs!
Tommorow: running.
Did a little bit of running today. Shock. Horror.
With Endure 24 just around the corner it was never going to be a long run. Just a gentle 4-miler at Bourne Woods.
The real exercise is about to start: packing for a weekend of running! The advice is to pack for all weathers.
I’ve decided on the trainers I’m taking….
If you have stumbled upon this site expecting to read about the eighth day of exercise during June, I feel I may need to apologise.
No exercise has taken place, however there has been plenty of talking about it.
Tonight saw the first and last meeting of Team Scrambled Legs prior to the weekend’s Endure 24. We talked about kit, food, camping and tactics.
Team t-shirts got the ok.

We also made several lists. Mine has four items on it: beer, cider, playing cards and Terry.
Tomorrow: packing.
One week done.
Today’s exercise involved the allotment again. In contrast to yesterday, I cycled there and back to ensure tonight’s allotment activity would stand a better chance of being accepted by other Juneathoners. I pray to the Gods of Juneathon to accept todays activities as valid entries to said monthly challenge.

It was another 90 minutes of weeding, watering and digging. This allotment lark is hard work. Having said that, I’m slowly getting there, the plot is definitely looking like an allotment; things are beginning to grow.
I think I maybe getting old.
With Endure 24 fast approaching, actual running was always going to be declining. It should be, otherwise there will not be a lot in the legs for the event. Although today was also a very long day teaching; my fabulous Y11s have their exam in the morning, so today was always about immersing them in a world of English.
Day 6 done. Will try and get out for a nice gentle run tomorrow.
