Book 2 of 2026 ðŸ“š

‘The Life Impossible’ by Matt Haig

Matt Haig is one of my favourite authors. So it was lovely to get stuck into this fantastical novel.

Retired maths teacher Grace Winters is left a run-down house on a Mediterranean island by a long-lost friend, who mysteriously disappeared. Grace searches for answers about her friend’s life, and how it ended. What she uncovers is stranger than she could have dreamed.

Really liked it. A book of two halves which works really well.

Janathon Day 29

It has been a tough week. Today was no different, a full day teaching followed by a meeting about ‘behaviour’. So I headed to the playing field. It didn’t go quite as planned, the head-torch died, so I had to head home and get a replacement.

Although, it wasn’t all bad. I bagged myself a Strava badge.

As for the run…

In other news…

Kerry did her regular hour of Pilates at her weekly class.

Janathon Day 28

Nearly there…

It’s a Wednesday, which means swimming after school and continued ‘trying to get better at swimming’ session.

Tonight, was as usual, hard work. Although, I did swim a little further than usual: 748m in total.

In other news…

Kerry did a treadmill session: 1.5 miles.

Janathon Day 27

It was a weights session in the garage, somewhere between, work, dropping off the van for an MOT, dinner and Samaritans duty.

20 x sit-ups.

20 x chest press.

6 times.

In other news…

Kerry also did a home workout, although slightly longer than mine.
