The penultimate day of the month.
A meeting after school meant it was dark when I got home, so I decided on the regular 3 mile loop of the village.
Just one day to go…
Just for general wonderings…

‘This is Vegan Propaganda’ by Ed Winters

Everyone needs to read this book.
This book explains why veganism must be our future.
Every time we eat, we have the power to radically transform the world we live in.

It was one of those days where I had to fit the run in between finishing work and starting a Samaritans duty.
Therefore, it was a little treadmill run. 3 gentle miles.
Two days to go…

Sunday morning run. Out the door at 7.30am.
It was a lovely bright morning.

A lovely relaxed gentle run: 7.3 miles.
Four weeks done. Three days left.
I was accompanied on this morning’s run by Scouting for Girls and their 2007 debut album ‘Scouting for Girls’. An absolute pop banger. Lyric writing at its best.
It ain’t gonna happen,
For me and the Strachan.

In other news…
We went to see The Holdovers last night.

Really enjoyed. Well worth watching.
Parkrun day.
Gorleston Cliffs parkrun. It was a bright and fresh morning. Perfect morning for a blast.

I wanted to have a go at a fast time. The plan was to try not to go off too fast, I have a tendency to do that and end up just running out of energy. So wanted to keep the first mile at 7min/mile pace and then slowly pick it up.

Pretty happy with mile splits. Actual finish time was 21.34 – probably had a little bit more left at the end.
The last Friday run of the month.
Normally on Fridays I am pretty tired after a full week at work and just do a regular 3-miler.
Tonight I had every intention of just going 3 miles, but after 10mins I was feeling pretty good. It was a lovely fresh clear evening and I was feeling pretty strong, so decided to stay out.

Did a couple of my 3 mile loops of the village, ignoring all the ‘Road Closed’ signs because the road was nowhere near closed.

Another 6 miles done. Parkrun tomorrow.
