The start of a new week and I did well to get out for the run tonight. It was freezing, windy and dark.
Did a 30min loop of the village: 3.2 miles.

Still on the Janathon train! Tomorrow we go again.
Just for general wonderings…

One week done, and I’m still going, I’ve run on every day of January so far.
This morning’s run was a 5 mile loop of the village. It was an early start for a Sunday; up and out before 7.30am.
I was joined by Beans on Toast on today’s run. Listening to his latest album ‘The Toothpaste and the Tube’.

It was a bit chilly and plenty of water about after all the rain we’ve had recently. I had this to contend with quite early on.

So after 30secs of staring and considering turning back, I did not want wet feet this morning, I bit the bullet it and legged it along the bank narrowly avoiding disaster.
Today’s Bob Ross managed to catch the exact moment:

So it has been a successful first week:
Monday: 3.8 miles
Tuesday: 3.6 miles
Wednesday: 6 miles
Thursday: 3.7 miles
Friday: 3 miles
Saturday: 3.1 miles
Sunday: 5.1 miles
That’s 28.3 miles for the week.
Bring on week two!
Finally, here’s a little tune by Beans on Toast about AI:
Parkrun day.

Gorleston Cliffs parkrun.

I had a bit of a go at it this morning. But it was very cold and windy so time wasn’t one of my best.

Want to make more of an effort with parkrun this year, so good start to get to the first one of the year.
Janathon day 6. Done.
It was a little 3 miler when I got in from school today, listening to the latest Skinny Lister album: Shanty Punk. A great album to run to.

Today’s Bob Ross:

It was a late run. First proper day – kids all back. Felt a bit hectic at times.
Completely dark once I got out, plus the headtorch was slowly fading as the run went on. At one stage I nearly broke an ankle by running into a speed bump! There was a small post indicating a speed bump was there – although I didn’t put two and two together at the time.

Felt pretty tired on the run, which I’m putting down to first full day of teaching for a couple of weeks. 3.7 mile run. Done.
Today’s Bob Ross:

It was INSET day at school so was able to get out pretty sharpish for today’s run.
The run tonight incorporated both of my two different 3 mile loops of the village: making a 6 miler. It was just getting dark by the time I finished.

For today’s piece of Bob Ross art, he managed to catch me actually running across a lake:

Happy running everyone!
