Juneathon Day 13

As we near halfway through the month this is often the time when doing Juneathon isn’t such a good idea as it seemed back on 1st June. Not this time though. Everything seems to be holding up.

This evening’s run was a lovely 4+ miles. In fact, I felt I could have kept running, I was feeling strong and really enjoying it, but my inner voice said ‘let’s not go mad, you’re not even halfway through’ so decided 4ish miles was far enough.

It was a podcast that accompanied me on the run: Running Commentary.

Book 11 of 2022

VOX by Christina Dalcher

I think I’m slightly late to the party with this one. In fact, probably about 4 years late.

I loved it. Slightly uncomfortable reading at times. A definite ‘The Handmaid’s Tale’ vibe going on.

Would definitely recommend.

A third of the way through. Things seem to be holding up ok. Legs feeling fine. Washing machine keeping up. Still hot water available for all the showers. All good.

Bagged a couple of Strava badges. Not sure what either of them was for, but bagged them all the same.

Juneathon Day 9

It was another in the house and straight back out again to tick off day 9.

Today was a simple out and back route: down the lanes to the river, once round the field and back. 5km.

It was Romesh’s ‘For the Love of Hip Hop’ again today.
