Today’s picture is my classroom, with new desk layout. Next year I hope to encourage more group work and independent learning.

Today’s picture….
Spent most of my ‘free’ time today uploading files to the ‘amazing’ new MLE (managed learning environment). It’s funny but I remember doing this about 18 months ago when we got an ‘amazing’ new VLE (virtual learning environment). Last time it was called ‘moodle’, this year it’s called ‘fronter’, I wonder what new name they will come up with next year?

Project365 #171 – To strike or not to strike….
As a member of the NUT I will be striking on June 30th. Having spoken to teachers contemplating whether or not to strike it would seem there are various reasons both for and against striking, some professional, some personal, some ideological. But for me the decision is simple: I’m a member of the union, the union are asking me to strike, therefore I strike.
As Billy Bragg once sang…..”There is power in a union”…..
