Project365 #290

A day full up with stuff.

It started with a rainbow on the way to parkrun.

Then Gorleston Cliffs Parkrun itself. Haven’t been for a while. I wanted to go for a quick one. I’m planning on a visit to parkrun a bit more often than of late. Today’s time of 22.49 felt good – felt I could probably have gone a bit quicker.

Then a visit to the fine city of Norwich for a wander and a bit of shopping, including a pit stop.

Dinner was one of ‘Jamie’s Twenty Minute Meals’: Golden Chicken and Garlicky Beans (with of course a vegan version for me).

Good day.

#janathon Day 18

Janathon Day 18

Eighteen days into janathon and still going!

Wednesday is probably the worse day to get out for a run for me: a challenging day at school; a break and lunch duty; an after-school club (although after-school today meant I was baby-sitting the kids in detention); and followed by the late bus duty. Together with Tuesday night’s extra effort put in on club training. All means that tonight was a nice gentle 2-miler.

As I plodded around the estate, food was on my mind: nearly ran into the pizza delivery guy as he exited a house; met the next door neighbour on his way back from the chippy; ran past a house that smelt like they were cooking bacon; and another house smelt like they were about to have a chinese. So I had to abandon run after 2 miles because of dribbling.
