Shakespeare’s Globe.

Romeo & Juliet.

Our fourth theatre visit of the year.

This was a really good production of Romeo and Juliet. A modern adaptation, gang violence, knife crime, violence and BMXs – what’s not to like.

This goes straight in at number one in the theatre chart:

  1. Romeo & Juliet
  2. Operation Mincemeat
  3. Top Hat
  4. 2.22: A Ghost Story

We’ve been studying Romeo & Juliet. We’re at the point in the play where Romeo, thinking Juliet is dead, visits an apothecary to purchase poison to kill himself next to her.

We often draw the apothecary shop, partly to explore Shakespeare’s language choices, and partly for the students to discover my artistic prowess.
