The dog.
Yes, you’re right, today was pretty uneventful.

I arrived back to my classroom today to find this. 😳
The classroom had been used for a PSHE lesson and apparently the teacher was checking the spelling of ‘racist’. Which came as quite a relief, as getting ‘Special Recognition’ for being a racist* would be slightly worrying.
* I am not a racist.

A lunchtime duty today. It was a lovely sunny afternoon with lots of kids out on the field letting off some steam. There are worse ways to spent you lunchtime.

Another busy day today: early morning walk with Billy boy at the woods; a four hour shift at the Samaritans; before finally getting the longish weekend run in.
The plan was to do a 10 mile run with a focus on maintaining a steady pace, a bit slower than my comfortable pace, with the ultra in mind. I’m struggling a little bit running at this slightly slower pace. No different today.
Today’s pacing was all over the place.

Samaritans training conference in Leicester looking at emotional support outside of the branch.
I needed emotional support by the time I got there!
The normally simple task of driving to Leicester was less than simple. Partly my own fault for ignoring signs that said, ‘A47 Closed – follow diversion’. How many times do you see diversion signs that are not ‘active’? Well it turned out that these were ‘active’. Cue a ridiculous diversion, that also involved getting stuck behind a tractor before having to follow a learner driver into Leicester.
Needless to say I was late.
