Round and round the track at school.
Time to commit?
I’ve been tentatively eyeing up a 100km run in July. So I’m at the stage, two months out, when I really need to decide whether or not I’m going to have a go at it.
Decision needed very soon.
Just for general wonderings…

Do it! Great achievement. And it will give me encouragement for my long run the following month.
I’m sure I will….just after my last marathon I was so knackered! Not sure I had much more in the legs.
I know what you mean, but a lot of that is psychological (though I’d be loathe to try and put a percentage on that!). And pace is another huge factor. Usually with marathons, we’re training and aiming for a time. With an ultra like 100k, we’re planning on finishing, that’s all. That means lots of slow training, and on the day, lots of slow running, breaks, walks, pep talks and various dubious foodstuffs. Get your legs right and the head will follow.
Would you like to run round with me!?!?! I like the motivation talk!
It would be lovely to share a run, for sure. Last time I ran in England, I got soaked, so now Summer has arrived, it’s bound to be lovely, especially around Rutland Water. All I can offer is motivation from abroad, which you can have in spades 🙂
