It’s Juneathon time!
The annual ‘run every day in June’ and then blog about it shenanigans.
I love Juneathon.
Juneathon has changed over the years, it used to be an actual ‘thing’ – it had a website, you had to log your miles and publish your blog – now I think it might have a Facebook page. But take nothing away from the fact that running every day for a month is pretty tricky.
In recent years there has been less emphasis on ‘running’ every day, it is now more about doing some sort of exercise a day, whether that be a walk, on the bike or at the gym.
Rarely in the last few years have I actually managed to complete it. Normally by about day 17 something has happened that has put paid to the daily run.
Things are going to be different this year – I’m feeling positive. I can do this. I’ve got the added incentive of a 24hr race coming up in July – so it will be useful to get some miles under the belt.
Just as difficult as the exercise, is of course, the blogging about it. There is only so much you can waffle on about. But I love waffling about nothing!
Wish me luck! I’ll be here every day, either with some mind-numbingly boring blog post about ‘another’ run, or an excuse.
It starts tomorrow…
