A 5-mile run and a little bit of extra red…

A couple of roads ticked off.

I even ran up a road that wasn’t even on the map as road.

Highlight of the run? New club to join…

Just for general wonderings…

Just a little bit more red today…

I had to run 7 miles tonight just to get the top corner complete.

It was a lovely run after a very long week – felt good to be pounding the country lanes. The biggest issue I had tonight was avoiding dropping into the pub on the way past.

Highlight of the run? Managed to start the run before it got proper dark and witnessed a lovely night sky.

More red…

Must be nearing half of all the roads ran on – although the half left are the roads furthest away.
Headed out in the lovely afternoon sun…

Down Lily Lane you can find the house with a head impaled on a stick. Nice.

A really lovely run in the sun. This was definitely what was needed after a busy week.
Highlight of the run? ‘Please slow – Geese’ – not sure if this was aimed at me or the geese 🤷♂️

‘Every Day’ by David Levithan

A fantastic teenage novel. I loved this – not quite 5 star material but very close.
Every morning ‘A’ wakes up in a different body. He can’t control it. He has got used to it by now. Never get too attached. Do not interfere.
But then, ‘A’ wakes up in the body of Justin and meets Justin’s girlfriend, Rhiannon. That’s when life gets difficult, he’s finally found someone he wants to be with every day.
A really great book, and I know I say this quite a lot, but, well worth a read.

Next up: Psychopaths Anonymous
A bit more red on the map…

At this point I feel I need to clarify that although I have titled this a ‘challenge’ there really are very few rules. Just one in fact: run all the roads in Aldeby, Wheatacre and Burgh St Peter, known locally as ‘The Triangle’. As for how long the runs have to be or how long it should all take? Absolutely no idea. It’ll be completed when it is completed.
Today was the fifth run and as I forgot my phone to take some pictures, you’ll just have to believe me when I say:
Also bagged a lovely badge on Strava:

The first time out pounding the roads all week – it’s been very busy and dark by the time I get in from work.
But I put on some headphones, turned up the music and forced myself out the door.
Got a bit more red on the map.

I was accompanied on this evening’s run with Romesh Ranganathan and his ‘For the Love of Hip Hop’ podcast. I’m think liking a bit of hip hop at the mo.
Here’s a banger. Lupe Fiasco with ‘Kick, Push’ 👊
