RED January Day 20

I may have said it before, but getting out for a run after work on a Friday is by far the hardest day of the week. It was no different today.

But I did indeed drag myself out of the door, despite the threat of rain and impending dark.

3.8 miles. Done.

Also bagged the 100km in January Strava badge.

RED January Day 19

That’s every day of January I have run so far, it starts to get a bit tedious from this point. It’s not just the running, it’s the double daily showers, it’s the trying to fit it in around ‘life’, not to mention the dark, cold days.

Today it was ANOTHER treadmill run: 5km.

Today’s soundtrack was Frightened Rabbit. Incredibly this album was released ten years ago this week.

RED January Day 18

It’s been a busy cold week so far – two treadmill runs – but I was determined to get outside for a run today.

Got out of work as soon as I could and managed to at least start the run in the light – head-torch was required towards the end.

4.2 miles around the village. Very cold and breezy. Day 18. Done.

RED January Day 16

Day 16…over halfway.

Busy evening tonight. It was straight in from work, jump on the treadmill, dinner and out for a Samaritans duty.

Treadmill: 3.4 miles at a nice gentle pace.

Today was rebranded by the Samaritans as ‘Brew Monday’ – encouraging people to check in with someone and have a chat.
