RED January Day 13

It was another run on the treadmill – the fourth in a row – I find it hard this time of the year to get outside and run. Definitely need to make more of an effort next week.

It was just 2 gentle miles on the treadmill. The last couple of days I’ve felt a bit of an ache in my right knee – so a couple of very easy runs was the plan – it has seemed to work as I’ve not felt a thing.

Highlight of the day?

Lowlight of the day?

RED January Day 12

Did well today.

I definitely wasn’t feeling like a run after work today.

But I did it. I chucked on my manky old trainers (I actually love them and can’t bring myself to throw them out). I got on the treadmill and ran a couple or so gentle miles.

That’s 12 days on the bounce. And…

Tomorrow is Friday! Woop woop!

RED January Day 11

It felt like a very long day today. On my drive home I wasn’t particularly looking forward to going for a run. The initial plan was to go for a little pootle around the village, but as I got nearer home and rain began to fall, the wind was picking up and it was getting dark.

Plan B. Treadmill.

I pressed go on the treadmill and thought I’d do my regular 3 miles at a nice easy pace: 11min/mile. But after a couple of minutes It dawned on me it was going to take ages so went for a progressively faster pace every half mile, completing the last half mile at 8min/mile pace.

3.5 miles in all. It also felt good to get a bit of a sweat up despite not really feeling it.

Coolio.

RED January Day 9

Monday always feels like one of the toughest runs of the week, so it’s always good to try to mix it up. Plus getting it done as soon as possible is a bonus.

So it was laps of the school field at the end of the day.

Each lap is 0.7 miles if you hug the edge. 5 laps. 3.5 miles in total. Boom.
