Book 12 of 2021

The Players by Darren O’Sullivan

Great read. Darren O’Sullivan just gets better and better. A clever idea for a novel – definitely worth a read!

Made all the more interesting by being based in and around Peterborough – not sure I’d be walking around the city during the evening in the near future!

A stranger has you cornered.

They call themselves The Host.

You are forced to play their game.

In it one person can live and the other must die.

You are the next player.

You have a choice to make.

This is a game where nobody wins…

Next up: Crater Lake.

Juneathon Day 1

I’m visiting my Mum for a couple of days so we start the month off with a bit of London running.

I had a rough idea of where I was going to go. Which was quickly scuppered when the gate to the park was locked.

After a bit of doubling back and a run alongside the A20 I was back on track and heading to Avery Hill Park. The beauty of running in London is that there are so many places to run to, and so many routes to get you there.

Avery Hill Park is the home of Greenwich Parkrun. It is a lovely place, especially on a morning like today.

Good start to the month: 5.5 miles and a Strava badge to boot!
