Day 18 #juneathon

A 4.5 mile run in between today’s football games. It felt a bit tougher than it probably should have – I put that down to the weekend’s excesses.

I was back on the streets. Today I explored a couple of new parts of the town that have recently appeared.

Today’s mileage = 4.5

Total Juneathon mileage = 66 running, 24 cycling, gym action, hungover dash to train station and a panicked run to cashpoint.

Day 17 #juneathon

A lame attempt today? You decide.

Firstly, let me put a few contextual points on the table:

  • It was my mum’s 75th birthday party yesterday.
  • I had been drinking punch, beer and Pimms – quite a lot of it.
  • We didn’t drive down, so it meant we needed to get train, coach and bus to get back today.

Plus a few pictures to put things in perspective:

Ok, so now my submission for Juneathon Day 17:

  • We were running late for train so had a very brisk 15min walk to station. With a hangover.
  • Had to go to cashpoint to get some cash for the bus fare – again needed to run to cashpoint and back so that we could get the bus.

I’ll come back to my original question: lame?

Total Juneathon mileage = 61 running, 24 cycling, gym action, brisk hungover walk to station and a quick run to cashpoint.

Day 16 #juneathon

Early miles today.

This weekend is a busy one: off to London to celebrate my mum’s 75th birthday!

Decided to kill two birds with one stone this morning by running to the allotment to give it a watering. It’s been a few days since I’ve been down there, it looked like a lovely dry morning and there’s no rain forecast so it was a case of needs must.

Ironically, I ran back home in the rain.

Today’s mileage = 2

Total Juneathon mileage = 61 running, 24 cycling and some gym action.

Day 15 #juneathon

Halfway through Juneathon and just about managing to keep it going.

Tonight’s run, in between the World Cup games, was a little local 4-miler. On the trails and through the woods.

It’s a busy weekend ahead – my mum’s 75th birthday party – so heading down to London on the National Express. The plan is to get a very early run done first thing.

Today’s mileage = 4

Total Juneathon mileage = 59 running, 24 cycling and some gym action.

Day 14 #juneathon

It was another lovely evening. I had pretty much decided that I was going to head to the woods for a run on the trails, but at the last moment I changed my mind. Tonight was another bike night.

I’m still in the process of working out some sort of summer cycling challenge, so I’m starting to get a few miles in the saddle. Also trying to work out how far I can realistically cycle in a day.

Today: 10.7 miles in 75 mins – legs felt ok – it was also a mix of terrains and undulations. Pretty happy.

Total Juneathon mileage = 55 miles running, 24 miles cycling plus some gym action.
