Today's photo had to be this….
…the burgers from heaven.
Just for general wonderings…
Janathon Day 21
Today has been one of those days. A regular run-of-the-mill type day when nothing out of the ordinary happened.
A normal day.
A regular day.
An average day.
A routine day.
I went to work. I came home. I went to the gym. I came home.
At work, today has been all about the synonyms. Alternative words for sad, alternative words for angry, alternative words for scared, blah, blah, blah. And within all that some fantastic descriptions of making toast feeling a plethora of different emotions. I have some fantastic students who never fail to amaze me with their ideas and creativity.
So maybe a regular day, but one that has actually been great fun.
At the gym I did 30min of hill reps – worked hard and left very sweaty.
Today's mileage = 3.33
Total Janathon mileage = 89.98
…move along…move along…
Janathon Day 20
Yep, that's right, day 20. It's amazing that after running every day for the last 20 days it almost feels normal!
It was really cold today so it was a trip to the gym for a hot sweaty 5-miler.
Today's mileage = 5.02
Total Janathon mileage = 86.65

This is what greets me every day of week….
…feeling especially depressed about it all this morning.
Janathon Day 19
After running every day for the last 19 it starts to become ‘normal’. It doesn’t seem unusual that the day revolves around the run. When will I get a chance to fit it in? Should I run before I leave work? Have I got time to go to the gym?
Today I decided that I would run around the school field before going home, that way it is done and dusted. So I did a bit of marking, did I bit of running and then got back to the marking. Perfectly normal behaviour.
Just a couple of miles. But I did run them a bit faster than normal.
Today’s mileage = 2.04
Total Janathon mileage = 81.63

Today’s picture…catching-up on a bit of The Walking Dead.

Janathon Day 18
As promised yesterday, today was all about running somewhere a bit different from the normal trails of the woods. When thinking about where to run, my mind went back to marathon training. I would occasionally go to Twyford Woods. It used to be an old airbase, all that is left is the old runways and service roads. But it is quite a good place just to go to and run. Very few distractions: just the runways to run up and down.
It looks something like this…
However when you are there it is easy to lose your bearings, you have runways, service roads, plus trails. Today I did get slightly confused as to what direction I was going in, everything looks the same…
I also had intended to stay on the concrete and not venture too far off track. The one time I did hit the trails it all looked pretty solid, it was a frosty, cold morning. It wasn't. Therefore majority of run was done with cold and feet feet.
I pretty good run all in all: 7 miles. In fact, I was quite up for carrying on and doing a 10-miler, but I have a mountain of work at home to be doing and needs must and all that. Although, it did bring back the memories of marathon training. I'm considering a marathon in the spring. Don't want to waste all these Janathon miles.
In other news I would also like to report a rather shody looking Butterfly Sanctuary….
And a interesting bit of fly-tipping…
Today's mileage = 7.31
Total Janathon mileage = 79.59
