Juneathon Day 18

It was another early morning run – the second of the week – and following on from yesterday’s after work gym session it didn’t feel great when the alarm screamed at me to get up 5.40am.

It took me a mile or so to persuade the body that we were actually going to run 5km; the legs felt a bit heavy and the ankles felt particularly stiff.

But the run was done: Juneathon day 18 done and dusted. Time now to concentrate on the mighty Eng-er-land. Apparently, rumour has it, football’s coming home.

Juneathon Totals:

Running = 13 days: 52.5 miles

Gym sessions = 4

Cycling = 1 day: 7 miles

Juneathon Day 17

Thursday’s regular gym session after work. I requested that the session involve less sweat that Tuesday – that didn’t happen. There was lots of sweat.

Juneathon Totals:

Running = 12 days: 49.4 miles

Gym Sessions = 4

Cycling = 1 day: 7 miles

Juneathon Day 16

Today was ‘Second Jab Day‘ – hence the early morning start. 3 miles pounding the streets before 6am.

I’m wanting to keep Juneathon going and after hearing scary stories of vaccination reactions I thought I’d just get it out the way! Then I can be poorly with the understanding that the run had been done.

Nice.

Juneathon Totals:

Running = 12 days: 49.4 miles

Gym Sessions = 3

Cycling = 1: 7 miles

Juneathon Day 15

Tuesday gym session after work – a beast of a session:

  • About a thousand burpees
  • A trillion press-ups
  • Billions of metres on the rower
  • Around a million squats
  • A gazillion shoulder presses

We’re at the halfway point in Juneathon and everything still seems to be working. So we just keep going.

In other news…

Flag is up in the classroom. It’s coming home!

Juneathon Totals:

Running = 11 days: 46.3 miles

Gym Sessions = 3

Cycling = 1 day: 7 miles

Juneathon Day 14

It was a trip to one of my old haunts for today’s run: Bourne Woods.

It was lovely to get back on the trails; it’s been a while. Tonight I was joined again by Amy as she continues her own Juneathon challenge, although she hasn’t managed any big mileage runs, she has managed to get out every day so far this month.

Having said that, she bailed after 3 miles; so I carried on for another loop. 6.2 miles in total.

The youth being creative 🙄
